Branch Insurance is lowering Wisconsin auto insurance rates an average of -15%, effective February 13, 2026 for new business and March 25, 2026 for renewals. The announcement also introduced a new advanced quote discount replacing the prior future effective date discount.

What Branch Announced

In a February 11, 2026 bulletin to appointed Wisconsin agents, Branch announced a -15% average rate improvement on auto policies, alongside a new discount structure for policies quoted in advance of their effective date:

  • 10% discount for policies quoted 3–7 days ahead of the effective date
  • 16% discount for policies quoted 8–60 days ahead of the effective date

The future effective date discount that previously existed on auto policies is being removed and replaced by this new advanced quote discount structure.

Effective dates:

  • New business: February 13, 2026
  • Renewals: March 25, 2026

Why This Matters for Wisconsin Drivers

The -15% base rate reduction, combined with the advanced quote discount (up to 16% for policies quoted 8–60 days out), means Wisconsin drivers who plan ahead can realize compounding savings at the new lower base. For agents, the new structure rewards quoting well in advance of a client's effective date — a shift worth building into the workflow for every Wisconsin renewal.

Branch's simultaneous cuts on both home and auto lines point to improved combined loss experience in Wisconsin, making the state a stronger competitive market for Branch than it has been in recent years.

Branch also cut Wisconsin home rates -20% with the same new-business effective date. See the Wisconsin home insurance rate tracker for the full picture.
